Stewardship of this very special place is the guiding principal of the development of Punta Sayulita. The design of the community incorporates sustainable design principles and responsible land management initiatives that will ensure that Punta Sayulita makes a minimal impact on the environment. Structures will incorporate regional and recycled materials where available, lumber from sustainable forests, non-toxic insulation, on-demand hot water heaters, low-e windows and Energy Star appliances. Landscaping will be comprised of native, drought-resistant plants. And a virtually pollutant-free solar/electric hybrid golf cart will be included with the purchase of each home. Punta Sayulita's landscape plan incorporates indigenous plant material and an onsite nursery will cultivate flowers, plants and trees to be planted within the community. Punta Sayulita will also work with local environmentalists on offsite reforestation programs aimed at repairing damaged jungle in the nearby mountains.
